Description/Long Course Title

6.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: RADTK 110 with a grade of "C" or better and RADTK 112 with a grade of "S". This course covers the anatomy and terminology of the bony thorax, shoulder girdle, pelvic girdle, and vertebral column, with emphasis on radiographic positioning and image analysis. Atomic structure, nature and characteristics of radiation, x-ray production, photon interactions with matter and factors affecting emission spectra are also presented. Content also establishes a knowledge base in radiographic, fluoroscopic, and mobile equipment requirements and design, and associated quality management criteria. Six lecture hours per week.
