Prerequisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent. An introduction to film as an art form, emphasizing a study of the aesthetic and production elements of the medium, including narrative genres, directorial style, cinematography, acting, editing, sound, and music.

FILM 111 - FILM AND LITERATURE (HF908)

Prerequisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent. This course is a study of formal, thematic, and/or historical relationships between literary and cinematic forms, including examination of adaptations and influences that demonstrate the strengths of each artistic medium.
