PARMEDIC PRACTICUM I

3.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: EMS 233 with a C or better or equivalent, current Illinois EMT licensure or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT certification, and department approval. This course is the fifth of six courses designed to prepare the student to function as a Paramedic, and gives the student field experience with an advanced life support unit. The experiences gained during this course will further develop the skills and knowledge gleaned in EMS 230-233. Fifteen laboratory hours per week.
